On Saturday, I went to Richmond to see my friends in the Kentucky United Pipes and Drums play at the Paddy Wagon, an Irish bar. I took a bunch of photos; some turned out pretty well...

Watching the Pipers Practice

It all started when I wanted to photograph...

...the great tree that we were gathered beside.

Then I started taking photos of the band.

On Tuesday, I got to go watch some friends, old and new, practice in their bagpipe band, the Kentucky United Pipes and Drums, out at Jacobson Park here in town. It was very cool seeing old friends and making new ones. I apologize if I've gotten anyone's name wrong here; if I did, let me know and I'll change it...

Last weekend I was able to go up to Cincinnati to be part of the wake for Mark Palmer. It was as good a time as could be expected under the circumstances, and I was able to reconnect with some really great people.

The Tempest at Georgetown College
Last night, Brian and Kyle Martin (the "other Kyle") and I went to Georgetown College to see Jesse Pack and Mike McCord perform in The Tempest, by Shakespeare. I told Jesse that, if any of my photos turned out at all, they'd end up on the internet, so here they are! Enjoy!

Trip to the Speed Museum
Liz and I went to Louisville to the Speed Art Museum yesterday, to see an exhibit entitled, "Berthe Morisot: An Impressionist and Her Circle". Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to take photos of anything in that exhibit, but I was allowed to take photos of the permanent exhibit items. Here's the ones that came out decently.

I'm trying to keep up with taking photos of all the things I make in ceramics class, as a sort of online portfolio and progress report. Here's what I've done so far. I'm having a ball and learning a lot!

An evening at the Lock and Key

Toni and I went to the Lock and Key coffeehouse in Georgetown to see my friends Matt, Saul, and Daniel play. It was a great time with lots of friends around.
