On Good Friday, Vine & Branches and St. Patrick's Church came together and celebrated with the Stations of the Cross at Woodland Park. Alan made the stations with images found from the internet and mounted on foam core, then nailed to trees in the park. I found it particularly significant that the stations about Jesus being "nailed to a tree" were themselves nailed to trees. It was a great day for the service, and of course, we all went out to eat afterwards.

A Lenten Friday at the Park

On Friday, as part of our community Lenten practice, I went out to a park close to my work to pray the office and meditate on the beauty of God's creation, even in such a dry and desolate time of year.
